From my experience

Hello!

My name is Kacper Dulik. By education and occupation, I am Automation Engineer specializing in PLC programming, site commissioning, control system support and troubleshooting. I have been working in Oil & Gas industry since 2010. I also make some simple electronics projects in my free time.

We live in a world where almost everything can be bought. Where people already worked through many problems and now sell solutions in a form of electronic devices or software. Fortunately, most industrial controller I worked with are reliable, but they are extremely expensive and beyond the reach of average person. Regarding daily used products, I feel like many companies have no interest in doing good quality products that would work for years. With reliable products they cut their own wings. Once device or software is sold, the flow of money stops. I feel like some electronic devices used on daily basis are intentionally designed not to last long. Who of You doesn’t have such impression? Who of You, even once, didn’t realize that device broke just after warranty expiration date?

No matter if I work on PLC based system or build electronic device, I have no interest in wasting time for fixing my mistakes in the future. My approach is different. I try to do things the best I can. I try to do things to be durable and reliable. I try to predict all possible scenarios and be ready for them. Of course, it is not possible to be ready for unpredictable but I realized that with such approach, when the necessity of modification comes, it is easier to perform that modification. Maybe there is no place for such approach in this world but this is who I am.

Viewing this site, You might ask Yourself why this guy does all what he does? Wouldn’t be easier to buy dedicated solution for the problem he faces? I can tell You that in some cases You will be right. Even more, in some cases it would be even cheaper to do so… but this is not the point. It is easy to buy a device. The problem starts when this device is not flexible enough for Your needs and when You struggle to adopt it for Your case. When You need a custom solution. When the product is inadequately complex to Your needs. There is also another important aspect. Doing things by myself and see them work correctly, brings me joy, fun and satisfaction.

On this site, I intend to show interesting (by my judgment) solution for the problems I faced. This site serves as a repository for my insight and experience.
